biography
I am currently a Research Assistant at VinUniversity’s College of Engineering and Computer Science, working under Asst. Prof. Le Duy Dung on the Machine Translation project. I also have broader interests in low-resource NLP and the interpretability of language models.
I am a graduate of the College of Computing and Data Science, Nanyang Technological University where I was nominated Class Champion for the MSc Data Science Class of 2025. I was a Scholar of the Vingroup Scholarship Program, which generously funded my studies at NTU.
While at NTU, I served as a Research Intern at the Continental-NTU Corporate Lab, where I worked on the evaluation of Vision-Language Models (VLMs) under the guidance of Asst. Prof. Wenya Wang. I also served as a Research Assistant for Asst. Prof. Siddtharh Natarajan at Nanyang Business School, helping with data collection and transformation for econometrics analysis.
Prior to my graduate studies, I spent three years at One Mount as a Data Analyst, where I specialized in business intelligence, machine learning and data engineering. Before transitioning to data science and AI, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Finance at National Economics University. My career shift was featured on the NTU CCDS Newsletter: Nguyen Giang Son: From Finance to Future-Facing AI.
